Out with the old, in with the new. What’s new with you this year?
For me, I started cleaning my files when the year enters in and I am starting cleaning my computer now. New Year for me is really special because it is the time of the year when we are giving an opportunity to correct the mistakes we’ve done in the past. It is the time of the year to make a brand new start and to make things better.
I’m not saying that 2014 is all thrash for me. In fact it is one of my great years. I learned a lot and I accomplished a lot. Last year I grew bolder. Here are the things I accomplished last year.
- Finally get out of the country for a vacation (China & Hong Kong)
- Bought my L300 van
- Take a long drive to Ilocos Sur and Norte
- Take my parents to Batangas for 2-day vacation (Fiesta)
Things I’ve learned last year.
- Grew even bolder.
- Watch out my finances.
- Be patient
- Don’t start if you can’t finish
Enough for last year and let’s start anew by throwing all it’s trashes (literally and non-literally).
De-cluterring Tip #1 – Papers and Receipts
Throw all the receipts you have kept for warranty purposes. Most warranties are only effective for a year so throw all those receipts which warranties already expire. Throwing documents that doesn’t serve it’s purpose anymore will make more room for new ones. Going through your files will make you see the important documents that you have which you need to keep in a safe place. De-cluttering will also make you see some deals and gift checks you haven’t claim yet. Claim them now before they expires!
De-cluttering tips #2 – Donate your old clothes
It is much better if you donate your old clothes instead of throwing them. Especially if the clothes are still fit to wear. Some of the clothes you need to donate are the clothes that doesn’t fit your body size anymore and the dress you didn’t wear because you didn’t like it. It doesn’t have to be old before you dispose them. This way, you will have more room for additional clothes which you like and fit you.
De-cluttering tip #3 – Delete all unnecessary files in your computer.
Make space for more of your important files. Delete all the things you didn’t need which were saved in your desktop like this.
You don’t have to necessarily delete all your files. Just organize some of the files you needed. Group them in a folder. This way, it will be easier for you to locate your files. It will also help you to work effectively.
Your emails is another thing that you should organize and clean. Like what I did today.
De-cluttering tip #4 – Pray
More than things it is your mind and your emotions which should be free from all the trash. Delete all the envies that you feel, all the hatred and the pain. When you delete all these negative emotions, you feel happy and ready to receive God’s blessings. Pray and feel blessed.
Happy a blessed day to everyone! Are you done with yours?
